Innovation contest
Applications are being submitted to the Organizing Committee of the AGROSALON Exhibition for participation in the innovation contest. All companies who have been registered as exhibitors will be able to take part in the contest.
Under contest conditions, each application is filled per a separate unit of equipment or machine.
Machinery to be exhibited must be an operating prototype, whose series production is planned for 2009. Equipment and machines, which are already in the market, must represent technologically newly-designed product of the designing company.
Machines, which are not related to the agricultural machine-building industry, are not permissible for participation in the contest.
The Contest Board consisting of scientists and industry specialists has been formed. Their task is to assess the machines, which have been presented for the contest, to meet the requirements to nominees for getting gold or silver medals.
Machines, whose design features or certain components will allow to perform new technological operations in agriculture, will be awarded a gold medal for development and introduction of innovations. Such machines must have an important practical application influencing technological processes and make the agricultural labor easier. Besides, energy saving, operational costs and safety features of the machine will be also assessed under this nomination.
Machines, which enable to technologically change and/or optimize operations in the field, will be awarded silver medal. The main evaluation criteria for this nomination will be the degree of significance for practical application, the machine advantages compared with the existing machines, as well as quality and rate of operations being performed.
Manufacturers presenting their machines for the contest will be informed individually on the decision of the Contest Commission not later September 19, 2008. Award and prize distribution will take place on November 19, 2008, at the opening ceremony of AGROSALON Exhibition.
New «Kirovets» at the AGROSALON Exhibition
Saint-Petersburg tractor plant will take part in the Agrosalon Exhibition, where it will exhibit the new “Kirovets K 9000 tractor equipped with the 354 – 516 hp Mersedes-Benz Power Pack from Daimler AG.
The new articulated frame has double strength margin. Driving axles include reinforced high accuracy gears. The domestic gearbox has been significantly modified, and the most powerful models are equipped with Twin Disc hydromechanical transmission. The modern cabin meets to the international safety standards and provides comfort to the operator.
Hydraulic system and suspension of the new tractors will provide for possibility to operate any modern agricultural implements. Capacity of the axial piston pump is 190 l/min. By this parameter, the new tractor can successfully compete with the best foreign tractors. The tractor can be equipped with a VOM and floating drawbar. The 1030-liter-capacity fuel tank ensures longer operation without refilling.

Delegation from Oryol oblast
Oryol oblast intends to compose a large delegation to the International Specialized Exhibition AGROSALON based on the preliminary agreement between Mr.V.I.Koroteev, Head of the Agricultural Department of Oryol oblast, and exhibition contractors. It is planned that the delegation will number 100, among which are state employees, heads of farms and agricultural holdings, and media.
