Association of agricultural equipment producers in Germany (VDMA Landtechnik) has supported Agrosalon

On September 5, 2008, the President of the Russian Union of Agricultural Equipment Producers (Soyuzagromash), Constantin Babkin and the Director of Association of agricultural equipment producers of Germany (VDMA Landtechnik), Bernd Sherer, have signed an agreement on cooperation.

Under this agreement, the German Association will render assistance in promoting the exhibition abroad. According to Bernd Sherer, the exhibition will find an active support of the German producers. “AGROSALON is an apparent international event and it stands alongside with such largest exhibitions of the agricultural machinery as AGRITECHNIKA in Hanover and SIMA in Paris», believes the Director of VDMA Landtechnik.

Agrosalon is the place for legislative initiatives

Parliamentarians of the Agrarian Committees in the Federation Council and the State Duma have made the decision to hold in November a joint meeting (as part of the Agrosalon’s exhibition of agricultural equipment) devoted to issues of legislative support to the agricultural engineering industry in Russia.

Earlier, in May this year, the State Duma’s deputies, during their “Governmental hour”, have considered the Minselkhoz (Ministry of Agriculture) and Minprom’s (Ministry of Industry) reports on the industries’ state, and, in June, the upper House’s Senators have discussed the industry’s problems in a Committee’s panel session.

In the lawmakers’ view, the joint meeting within the Agrosalon’s framework is an excellent possibility to sum up implementation of the Committee’s recommendations to the Government of the Russian Federation on coordination of further actions regarding this issue with participation of the interested parties. Besides, the both Houses’ deputies are interested in the latest global achievements in the agricultural engineering industry and development of mechanization, in meeting the machinery producers and designers, and the agricultural business representatives.

Regions are composing delegations to Agrosalon

The Oryol oblast’s Department of agricultural policy and environmental management will send a representative delegation to Agrosalon.

According to the Head of the Mechanization Department, Nikolay Kuznetsov, the Oryol oblast is planning to compose the official delegation that will include more than one hundred management specialists and agricultural holding and farming enterprise managers.

The Oryol oblast agrarians’ interest in the coming event is obvious. This year, the farmers have cropped the record harvest of grain – more than 2 million tones. “This year we have acquired 900 pieces of machinery worth of 2 billion roubles. In spite of the considerable fleet of the available combine harvesters, still over 270 hectares fall on each machine. At Agrosalon, we intend to study all recent developments in this industry and make plans for future purchases. We also intend to take an active part in the business program of the exhibition”, said Nikolay Kuznetsov.

The Day of the Agrogeneration

The Exhibition Committee of Agrosalon has made a decision to celebrate the Day of the Young Generation (AGROGENERATION) within the exhibition’s agenda.

The forum of young people will be held on November 22 and will gather more than 1500 delegates from all regions of Russia – students of agricultural universities and young scientists. The project’s main objective is to introduce the young specialists to the latest innovative technologies, to improve their knowledge in machine-building and agricultural production, to demonstrate the industry’s achievements, and to attract the future specialists the agriculture and mechanical industries are so in need of.
