AGROSALON AND SIMA
From 22 to 26 February 2009 the SOYUZAGROMASH/AGROSALON stand was organized in the exhibition center Nord Villepinte, at the international exhibition «SIMA» (Salon International de Machinisme Agricole) in Paris.
The Russian stand attracted genuine interest of the SIMA visitors; at least five thousand people visited the Russian stand during the exhibition.
The representatives of AGROSALON held dozens of meetings with the representatives of foreign agricultural machinery manufacturers. Many of the participants of the exhibition in Paris, when interviewed, showed their willingness to come to Russia to participate in the Russian exhibition AGROSALON which would to be held from 16 to 19 September of this year.

"Russia is gradually recovering the status of an agricultural state which is capable both to satisfy the growing domestic demand and to supply high-quality agricultural products abroad. It is evident that the long-range development of the branch requires the existence of a leading exhibition of agricultural machinery that would give the opportunity to national and foreign manufacturers to demonstrate their achievements in this area and would allow clients – farmers and farm households – to choose the optimal equipment for crop improvement and rise in efficiency. The exhibition AGROSALON occupied its niche by right; from the first days of its work it proved its efficiency both due to the coverage of machinery manufacturers and in terms of the number of visitors".
ALL THE MINISTERS ARE OUR GUESTS
The AGROSALON stand was attended by practically all the ministers of agriculture present at SIMA – those from France, Russia, India, Brazil, Finland, Czech Republic, Ukraine and other countries. The Minister of Agriculture of France Michel Barnier was among the first to arrive (on the left in the picture). Monsieur Barnier had heard much about the Russian exhibition and was interested to know about the participation of French companies in AGROSALON.
The Minister of Agriculture of Ukraine Yuriy Melnik also visited the Russian stand and held the meeting with the members of the Russian delegation (the third one on the left in the picture).

It should be mentioned that in 2008 it was the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia that was among the first to support the idea of SOYUZAGROMASH to hold a specialized exhibition of agricultural machinery in Russia. In 2008 А. Gordeyev approved and signed the Concept of development of exhibition activity on technical support of the agroindustrial complex of Russia that included the exhibition AGROSALON as the crucial specialized exhibition of agricultural machinery.
RUSSIA'S DAY IN PARIS
The 23rd of February became the Russia’s Day in the official program of the exhibition SIMA. During the round-table conference devoted to the trends in the Russian agricultural machinery market the President of "Soyuzagromash" Konstantin Babkin made the crucial
report.
The Russia’s Day at the exhibition SIMA in Paris became the answer to the organization of the Day of France on the 20th of November 2008 within the framework of the international specialized exhibition of agricultural machinery AGROSALON in Moscow.
