On the threshold of the opening of the specialized exhibition of agricultural equipment AGROSALON, our reporter, Andrey Khirta, has spoken to Alexander Volbek, AGROSALON‘s deputy project manager.

Reporter. Alexander Evgenyevich, you are a frequent guest to various exhibitions that have the topic similar to AGROSALON’s. What, in your opinion, unites them?

Alexander Volbek. As of today, there exists only one specialized exhibition in Russia. All the rest, as you have said, are similar. They are agroindustrial or agricultural exhibitions. Yes, they sometimes exhibit agricultural equipment and machinery, but it is not the key point of such events.

That is what differs AGROSALON from all other exhibitions. From the very beginning, we focused our attention on the experts who are engaged in the agricultural business, on those who have close linkage with the ground, and who need agricultural equipment. The better results they receive, the more interested they are in renewal of their equipment fleet, in buying high-efficiency equipment and machinery. These are our categories of visitors. And where one can receive a complete information on machinery, the latest developments, get new knowledge, and, in the long run, purchase the required machine? Only at specialized exhibitions.

Reporter. One can visit the Agritechnik in Hannover or Sima in Paris?

No, these are the words of our participants – “If I am not at AGROSALON, that meams that I am not in the market”.

Today, the framework of three agricultural equipment and machinery exhibitions has been formed in the world – Agritechnik, Sima and AGROSALON. These are very similar exhibitions by their topics. We have good partnership relations with organizers of these world exhibitions, we meet each other frequently, and we share our opinions.

Reporter. Are Western companies participating in AGROSALON exhibition?

Without exception, all world producers of agricultural equipment and machinery are participants of AGROSALON. What is more, I know that many foreign companies are planning to exhibit their newly-designed products by taking into account the AGROSALON’s calendar. And, we like it. That demonstrates the exhibition status and its significance.

So, if you have no chance to visit Paris of Hannover, you should remember that all world openings are now taking place in Moscow, at AGROSALON.

Reporter. What is striking your eyes at other exhibitions

Alexander Volbek. The crisis has no mercy on anyone. Many exhibitions I had the chance to visit made me feel woeful. One thing when the number of participants is not great – that, to a certain degree, is explainable, but the majority of exhibitions have no a distinguishable line, logistics is not mature, it is very difficult to orient onself, and what the most important, you have the feeling that the organizers are existing by themselves, and the participants and visitors are by themselves. Thus, the main constituent is lost – the visitor. And who are we holding the exhibitions for?

Reporter. Does that relates to AGROSALON?

Alexander Volbek. No. At the very initial stage, when the exhibition was only the idea, when we were forming its philosophy, we took into account the experience of the best world exhibitions. In short, all the best that is present at any foreign exhibition can be discovered at AGROSALON.

Reporter. Are there any problems with the visitors?

Alexander Volbek. No problem. But we have to do a lot in this field. We have developed special programs focused on our visitors, as our primary task is to bring important information to our visitors. What can they expect at the exhibition, what events will take place, and what newlydesigned products will be demonstrated. That is, everyone should know why he is going to AGROSALON.

As for the participants, and in anticipation of your question, we believe that all exhibition areas will be occupied. New participants will joint those who took part in the exhibition last year. New national stands are appearing, companies from the so called “Eastern Alliance”. The geography of AGROSALON is extending!
